The National Union of Community Forestry Development Committees (NUCFDCs) is made up of 23 CFDC groups and other community forest user organizations within 11 of the 15 counties of Liberia, representing about 500 affected communities and villages.
Established in 2009 as the national umbrella organization, we advocate for community rights under the 2006 National Forestry Reform Law, the 2009 Community Rights Law, and the 2018 Land Rights Act. We are a fully registered institution under Liberian law, based in Margibi County.

The NUCFDCs National Secretariat delivers five core services to forest communities and partner organizations across Liberia.
Conduct capacity building training for forest communities on the laws governing the forest and land in Liberia.
Support communities in developing project proposals for their funds at the Benefit Sharing Trust Board.
Advocate for the rights of communities to benefit from natural resources, land, and agricultural production.
Seek funding support for community producer organizations to sustain forestry and agricultural production activities.
